The Hammonton Green Committee is a group of volunteers who work to make our community more aware, resilient, and more sustainable. We take on projects and plan events that will help reduce our collective carbon footprint and educate citizens about environmental responsibility in South Jersey and beyond.

Winter Sowing Workshop

6-8 pm, Hammonton Library
This popular workshop is back! Learn about winter sowing, a great way to get ahead with seed starting, especially for native plants that require cold to germinate in the spring. We’ll provide seeds and soil, all you need is a few containers from your recycling bin. Learn more and register!
Community Wide Clean Up
Saturday, March 7, 2026
10 am – 12 pm, pick up supplies at Hammonton Lake Park Canoe Club

This annual event brings families, students and caring individuals together to keep Hammonton beautiful. What started as a park clean up at the Hammonton Lake has expanded to include other areas across the community that could use a little love. Learn more and register!

Monthly meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at Town Hall
(100 Central Ave, Hammonton, NJ 08037 – 3rd Floor Meeting Room)
Our Community Garden Group meets at 6:30 pm followed by the Green Committee meeting at 7 pm
